Wild weather showed to be no deterrence for Australian rider Remy Gardner [GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK] on Day 1 of the WorldSBK off-season test in Jerez, topping the time sheets on the disrupted day with his fastest time of a 1:39.837.

When the calendar was released and Phillip Island shown as the first round, the biggest smile probably went to the now #1. After an extravagant team launch in Madonna di Campiglio in the Italian Dolomites which revealed the #1 on the front of WorldSBK Ducati for the first time in 18 years, the opening round awaited and that’s exactly where #TheDefence started.

The 2024 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship’s provisional calendar has been released, with plenty to look forward to as the fastest production-based motorcycle racing Championship in the world readies for another action-packed year.

After an impressive debut year on the world stage contesting the World Supersport Challenge, which saw the Australian rider compete in all European rounds of the FIM Supersport World Championship, Luke Power has secured his spot in WorldSSP in 2024.

Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit are elated to announce they will again host the season opener of the 2024 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, the Grand Ridge Brewery Australian Round from 23 – 25 February 2024. 

It was a weekend of both celebration and despair from Australia’s Remy Gardner [GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team], who claimed his best race finish of fourth place in Superpole. And while Race 2 was shaping up to be yet another strong finish for the Aussie, it ended in a mechanical heartbreak for the 25-year-old.
