2026 Motul FIM Superbike World Championship
Premier Racing Circuit
Thirty-five years of WorldSBK at the Phillip Island Circuit
In 1990, the Phillip Island Circuit hosted its first WorldSBK race which respectively, saw Peter Goddard and Robbie Phillis take the win during Race 1 and Race 2.
The WorldSBK championship has returned annually since then – bar 1993. No other circuit on the global tour has hosted as many rounds as Phillip Island. For more than three decades, teams and fans have flocked to the sweeping turns and thrillingly fast circuit that borders the stunning ocean vista of Bass Strait.
In 2020, the Australian event set a new record, being the 30th round to be held at Victoria’s world-acclaimed Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit.
The 2026 event will mark the 35th round.
Toprak Razgatlioglu holds the WorldSBK lap record at 1’28.511 only marginally behind the outright motorcycle lap record set by Marc Marquez in MotoGP at 1’27.765.
