In what has been an incredible spread of eight rounds so far in the 2023 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, the summer break is now upon us after what was one of the most dramatic rounds of the season at Autodrom Most, Acerbis Czech Round, with many talking points.
The MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship Race 1 at Imola saw a fierce battle for victory as the reigning champion, Alvaro Bautista, fought hard to secure his 17th victory of the 2023 season.
Jonathan Rea of Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK also made headlines by achieving his 250th podium in WorldSBK, while Danilo Petrucci of Barni Spark Racing Team secured his team’s first podium in five years in Race 2 – Donington Park really had it all!
Alvaro Bautista [Aruba.it Racing – Ducati] came away with yet another hat-trick to his name. Bautista’s Race 2 win was monumental to say the least, as he took home Spain’s 80th triumph in the World Superbike Championship
The grid was set from Superpole and it was nothing but sunshine and blue skies reigning down on the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, setting the scene for what was going to be a glorious final race for the Grand Ridge Brewery Australian Round. A glorious race it was, with Alvaro Bautista [Aruba.it Racing – Ducati] making it a hat-trick in Australia.
