Toparis Ready For WorldSSP Challenge

WorldSBK By February 16, 2018 December 13th, 2019

Tom Toparis Strip

Cube Racing’s Tom Toparis is ready for the new challenge of a wildcard entry in World Supersport at the 2018 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, Yamaha Finance round at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, February 23-25.

“We’ve decided to do it (wildcard) again after Moto3 last year. It is going to be a lot closer to what I’ve been doing, so hopefully we can run in the pack somewhere and improve on the Aussie lap times we’ve been doing.

I’m hoping my WorldSSP bike is going to be fast to bring me closer to the guys at the front. I’m keen to race against them. The 18 laps are longer than the Aussie races, but we have been doing a few laps around Phillip Island lately and I think we have a good set up. When the world guys are here and getting out there doing laps with them I think that will just help me in my racing. I’m interested to see, and interested to learn and so is the team”

Said Toparis.
