World Supersport Highlights – Day 2
In what was a similar story in WorldSBK, there is one rider who has made a remarkable start to his 2025 World Supersport season under the name of Bo Bendsneyder [MV Agusta Reparto Corse].
The Netherlands rider has shown some true class throughout the opening two days of the Official Australian Test, securing the fastest time in all four Free Practice sessions at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit to end the final session half a second faster than second place.
It was a rookie sensation in World Supersport, with yet another new face Jaume Masia [Orelac Racing Verdnatura] securing the 2nd fastest time across the two-days behind the blistering Bendsneyder.
Another rider that has shown consistency throughout the two-day test has been French rider Valentin Debise [Renzi Corse], finishing all but one session inside the Top 3 onboard his Ducati Panigale V2.
Australian Rider Oli Bayliss [PTR Triumph Factory Racing] has shown competitive times across the two-days, finding himself slotted comfortably into a Top 15 position in most Free Practice sessions.
Bayliss managed to knock around half a second off his fastest lap time from yesterday, showing great progression as he comes to terms with his new Triumph Street Triple RS 765.
Luke Power [Motozoo ME air Racing] also saw some improvements in lap times today to eventually finish out the two-day test in 18th position.
Power set his fastest time in the final Free Practice session of a 1’33.362.
